Boot Camp for New Dads

Boot Camp for New Dads

A one-day, three-hour workshop for new and expecting Dads.

Boot Camp for New Dads is the U.S.’s largest program for first-time dads-to-be. Coached and taught by fathers with their babies, Boot Camp for New Dads enables new dads to step up to the challenge of being a dad and feel confident bringing the new baby home.

This is a three-hour workshop covering fatherhood and the needs of new mothers and new babies. During the workshop, the Coach (facilitator) will make sure new Dads (Rookies) talk about what they are most concerned about as new dads and other important topics, such as: Supporting new moms, breastfeeding, feeding, changing a diaper, how to manage family and visitors, baby’s safety, and more.

Men showing other men is a powerful formula for fatherhood success.  No question is dumb, and no topic is off-limits in this supportive, positive environment. The pride of the Veteran dad and enthusiasm of the new (Rookie) dad at the end of the workshop will be exciting.

Men will leave Boot Camp for New Dads more confident and prepared for fatherhood and ready to be a team with the mom in parenting their new baby.

We are looking forward to you joining our Boot Camp for New Dads!

Understanding Dad raises mothers' awareness about the importance of father involvement in their children's lives. It helps mothers to reflect on how their developmental histories have and continue to influence the relationships with the fathers of their children.

It also teaches mothers communication skills to improve the partnership between them and the fathers of their children in raising their children (e.g. co-parenting when mothers and fathers are no longer together).
